At our location in Herzogenrath near Aachen, we are looking for you to start as soon as possible as a

Lead Engineer (m/f/d) Magnetron Processes

Your responsibilities

  • Consultant for technical and scientific issues related to magnetron processes and associated product developments

  • Independent collaboration/leadership in R&D projects

  • Worldwide assignment to R&D tests on industrial coating systems

  • Regular business trips to the partner R&D Center in Paris (bi-weekly approx. 2-3 days)

  • Patent and technology monitoring in the field of magnetron

  • Cooperation with external partners (universities/research institutions/start-ups)

Your profile

  • University degree (physics, chemistry, engineering), PhD desirable

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the industrial R&D environment of magnetron coating

  • Good technical knowledge in industrial coating technology especially PVD

  • Experience as employee or leader of industrialization projects

  • High readiness for networking, cooperation and development of new fields of work

  • Knowledge in coating analytics

  • Programming skills desirable

  • Fluent in English (knowledge of German and/or French advantageous)
